Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB)

Destination: Kampala

Accommodation: Cassia Lodge (mid-range hotel located near Kampala)

Meals & Drinks: Breakfast

Your guide will welcome you upon your arrival through Entebbe International Airport (EBB) and then transfer you to your overnight in a bed and breakfast in Kampala. Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is the main entry point for flights into Uganda. It is located near the town of Entebbe, about 46 kilometers / 29 miles from the capital, Kampala. Uganda is a relatively compact country and further transportation within the country is usually done by vehicle. You will be introduced to the rest of the group the following morning after breakfast. This day can also be skipped if you have your own pre-night arrangements.

Day 2: Rhino Sanctuary En-Route to Murchison Falls National Park

Destination: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Accommodation: Murchison River Lodge

Total drive time: Approximately 6-7 hours’ drive

Your safari in Uganda will begin with driving northward to Murchison Falls National Park. With a hot lunch en route, prepare yourselves for the breathtaking scenery and a short nature walk to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Masindi. The guided nature walk in the sanctuary brings you up close with the endangered rhinos and you can spend your time associating freely with these enormous creatures. In the evening, you will arrive at the national park and be transferred directly to your lodge for dinner and overnight at your accommodation preference.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

Destination: Murchison Falls National Park

Accommodation: Murchison River Lodge

After an early morning breakfast, enjoy an early game drive to Murchison Falls National Park with a lot of en-route breathtaking scenery and some of the vast array of game animals like giraffes, elephants, and buffalo that roam the park. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat launch upstream to the foot of the thundering Murchison Falls offering great photo opportunities of this marvel of nature. Also, along the banks of the river, you will be able to see animals like hippos, crocodiles, and unique bird species for the avid bird watchers. After that, you will have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park to Fort Portal

Destination: Fort Portal

Accommodation: Mountains of the Moon Hotel

Meals and drinks: All meals and drinking water

Travel time: 7-8 hours

After an early breakfast, leave the national park and proceed in the direction of Fort Portal traversing along the Great Rift Valley and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges could be seen at a good range as you progress to Fort Portal town. You will have lunch en route. After that, check in for overnight and have dinner at your accommodation preference. This is a detour location to cut up the long transfer from Murchison Falls up to Queen Elizabeth National Park which can last up to 12 hours.

Day 5: Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Accommodation: Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge

Meals and drinks: All meals and drinking water

After an early breakfast, continue farther down following the mystical mountain ranges to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and later prepare for an afternoon safari by boat on the Kazinga Channel connecting both Lake George and Edward. This evening, spend the time off at leisure and later prepare for dinner and overnight at the accommodation of your choice.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Ishasha Sector

Destination: Ishasha Sector

Accommodation: Ishasha Jungle Lodge

Meals and drinks: All meals and drinking water

This morning after your early breakfast, have another game drive in the north of the park and have a chance to spot the Uganda kobs, elephants, lions, and later after lunch, depart the northern side of the park and drive southward to the Ishasha Sector. The area is famed for the tree climbing lions. As you drive through, you may see wildlife and also the tree climbing lions. Spend the rest of the evening with another game drive and try out your luck. Return to the lodge at leisure for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Entebbe

Destination: Entebbe

Meals and drinks: Breakfast, lunch and drinking water

This morning, have breakfast at leisure and later, transfer back to Kampala with lunch en route and wonderful photography at the Equator. This day is reserved for evening flights through Entebbe International Airport (EBB).
