Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s renowned soda lakes and is world-famous for attracting millions of flamingos to its alkaline shores. Lake Nakuru National park lies on the floor of the Great Rift Valley escarpment housing a wide ecological diversity and wild animal habitats that range from both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.
Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking,picnic and game drives.
DAY 1. NAIROBI-LAKE NAKURU
Pick-up from your hotel/airport in Nairobi and drive down the Rift Valley escarpment towards Nakuru. We will have a stopover at great riftvalley viewpoint and get some information of how the rift valley was formed. You then embark on your safari arriving at Lake Nakuru National park at mid-morning. You will start off with a game drive enroute to your hotel for lunch and check-in. After taking some rest till 15.00Hrs proceed for an evening game drive till late hours before driving back to your hotel for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
DAY 2. LAKE NAKURU-NAIROBI
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel , you will proceed with a morning game drive again in search of the wild of Lake Nakuru. You cannot miss to see the grazing black and white rhinos, lions, grazing hippos on the lake shores, leopards in the park bushes and giraffes. Check out of the park and proceed for Nairobi where you will be dropped off at your hotel/airport
